Notifications
The notification centre, e-mail, SMS and push channels, the switches in settings, marketing consent and quiet hours.
What this is for
Notifications tell you about important things. That a booking is confirmed. That a price dropped. That a flight moved.
In settings you decide what you want to receive.
Who it is for
For every logged-in customer.
What you see
The notification centre
The bell in the panel header leads to the "Notifications" page (/notifications). The same entry is in the side menu. The bell shows the number of unread items ("9+" above nine).
The page holds a list of notifications, newest at the top. Each row has:
- an icon and the kind name ("The price dropped", "Booking confirmed", "A change in your trip"),
- a short body (offer name, order number or amount),
- the date and time in your time zone,
- a "Mark as read" button — only on unread rows.
Unread rows are highlighted. Above the list there is a counter ("2 unread notifications" or "Everything is read."), a "Notification settings" link and a "Mark all as read" button.
When you have no notifications: "You have no notifications yet" with a "Set up notifications" button.
A longer list is split into pages. At the bottom you pick the page and the number of rows (10, 20 or 50).
Clicking the kind name takes you where the matter lives: a price alert → "Saved offers", a booking → your order, a disruption → "Trip disruptions".
The "Notifications" card in settings
The description: "Choose which messages you want to receive.". It holds three switches:
E-mail notifications Description: "Confirmations, changes and travel documents to your inbox.".
SMS notifications Description: "A short text message for the most important events.". Without a phone number in your profile you see a hint instead: "Add a phone number in your profile — without it we cannot send a text message.".
Price alerts by e-mail Description: "Messages about the offers you watch.". When it is on, you get an e-mail when the price of a watched offer drops to your threshold.
Under the switches there are two notes. The first says critical messages always go out. The second — that push is switched on in the mobile app.
The "Quiet hours" card
The description: "The hours when you do not want to receive non-critical notifications.".
The "Turn on quiet hours" switch reveals two fields: "From" and "Until" (hour and minutes in five-minute steps). Below them there is a note: "We count the hours on your clock — in the … zone from your profile. The range may cross midnight (for example 22:00–07:00).".
Errors: "Enter the start and the end of the quiet hours", "The start and the end of the quiet hours must differ", "Enter the time as HH:MM".
The "Marketing consent and channels" card
The description: "We send inspiration and promotions only when you ask for them.".
Inspiration and promotions — this is your marketing consent. Without it we will not send you any advertising.
Under it there are two channel switches: Marketing by e-mail and Marketing by SMS. They stay inactive (greyed out) until you turn on the consent above.
The note: "Marketing channels only work together with the consent above. We record every consent change in your consent history — you will see it in your data export.".
Under the cards there are the "Save settings" and "Cancel" buttons. While saving you see "Saving…".
In the mobile app, on the "Settings" screen, there are the same cards plus a switch for the push channel (notifications that pop up on your phone screen).

- Log in and click the bell in the header (or "Notifications" in the menu).
- Read the rows — unread ones are highlighted.
- Click "Mark as read" on a single row, or "Mark all as read".
- The counter on the bell drops straight away.
Setting channels and quiet hours
- Log in and go to "Settings" (or click "Notification settings" above the list).

- In the "Quiet hours" card turn on the switch and pick the hours — for example from 22:00 to 07:00.
- In the "Marketing consent and channels" card decide whether you want inspiration and promotions, and if so, through which channel.
- Click "Save settings".
- You will see the message "Settings saved".
What happens next
Three kinds of messages
Transactional — about your bookings and payments. We always send these, because without them you would not learn what happened to your trip. For example: booking confirmation, failed payment, cancellation, tour voucher, plane ticket, disruption notice.
Price alerts — about watched offers and saved searches. You turn them on with the "Price alerts by e-mail" switch.
Marketing — inspiration, promotions, newsletter. We only send these when "Inspiration and promotions" is on. This is a voluntary consent (in English it is called "opt-in"). We record every consent change in your consent history — you can see it in your data export file.
Channels
- E-mail — the main channel. On by default.
- SMS — an extra channel for transactional notifications. Off by default and it needs a phone number in your profile.
- Push — notifications in the mobile app. On by default, but the real gate is the permission in your phone's system. Without a device token we send nothing.
Quiet hours
When a non-critical message falls inside your quiet hours, we hold it back for later — we do not drop it. Urgent messages (for example about a failed payment) always go out without waiting.
We count the hours on your clock, that is in the time zone from your profile. "Do not wake me after 22:00" means 22:00 where you are, not on our server. You change the zone in "Edit profile".
The range may cross midnight: 22:00–07:00 is a night, not an empty span. That is why the start and the end cannot be the same hour — such a range would mean nothing.
A notification appears in the notification centre immediately, even during quiet hours. Quiet hours only hold back the e-mail, the text message and the push — not the list in the panel.
Sample push notification texts
- "Booking confirmed — Payment received — the details are in the app."
- "The price dropped — A watched offer reached your price threshold."
- "A change in your trip — Check the disruption details and the options available."
- "Payment problem — The payment did not go through — try again in the app."
- "Your tour is coming up — A reminder about the upcoming date."
Frequent questions
I turned everything off and still get e-mails. Transactional messages go out regardless of the switches. Without them you would not learn that your booking was confirmed or cancelled.
I do not get text messages. The SMS channel is off by default and needs a phone number in your profile. Add the number in "Edit profile".
How do I unsubscribe from the newsletter? Every newsletter message has an unsubscribe link. You can also turn off "Inspiration and promotions" in settings.
I do not get push notifications on my phone. Check three things: the push switch in the app, the permission in your phone settings, and your internet connection. The app will then show "Without system permission we cannot send notifications — you can turn them on in your phone settings." or "Push notifications are not available on this device — we will tell you about changes by e-mail.".
Do notifications arrive in my language? Yes. We use the language from your profile.
I turned the e-mail channel off, yet I see the notification in the panel. That is by design. The list in "Notifications" is the record of events on your account and is always complete. The switches only decide whether we send you a message about them.
I set quiet hours and still got a text message at night. Check the kind of message. A failed payment, a cancellation and a trip disruption are critical and bypass quiet hours — otherwise you would learn about them too late.
How do you know what time it is where I am? From the time zone in your profile. If you travel and want the quiet hours to follow you, change the zone in "Edit profile".
