Travel package information

What this is for

Sometimes what you are buying is, in the eyes of the law, a package holiday. That is the name for a holiday bundle: a flight together with a hotel, or a hotel together with a tour.

A package gives you more protection than a single service. That is why the law requires us to show you certain information before you pay. These are called "pre-contractual information" — things you must learn before you enter into a contract.

Who it is for

For people whose set of services looks like a package. This screen appears by itself when that is the case. With a plain single flight or a hotel alone you will not see it.

What you see

The title: "Travel package information".

The subtitle: "Your set of services may be a package holiday — read the pre-contractual information before paying.".

The page has these sections:

"Pre-contractual information"

The main content. When we do not have detailed text for your case, we show a general sentence:

"The combined travel services may constitute a package holiday. You have the rights provided for package holidays, including protection in the event of the organiser's insolvency."

Below there is the rule version, for example "Regulation version: 2026-01".

"Airsockfly's role in this transaction"

Here we say who we are in your contract. Whether we are the seller, or only an intermediary passing you on to the organiser.

"Withdrawal and refunds"

Here we say when you can pull out and on what terms you get your money back.

Consent

A tick box, obligatory:

"I confirm that I have read the pre-contractual information about the package holiday."

The error if you do not tick it: "Consent is required".

At the bottom there is the "I accept and go to payment" button and next to it "Back to summary". While it is processing you see "Processing…".

Step by step

1. Read the "Pre-contractual information" section. It really is worth it — these are your rights.
2. Read "Airsockfly's role in this transaction". You will learn who you are paying.
3. Read "Withdrawal and refunds".
4. Tick the confirmation box.
5. Click "I accept and go to payment".

If you want to change anything else, click "Back to summary".

What happens next

You will see "Pre-contractual information accepted." and move to choosing a payment method.

Your acceptance is saved with the order, along with the date and the rule version. That is proof you received this information in time.

Without that acceptance you cannot reach payment. If you try to skip the step you will come back here with the message: "Your set is a travel package — accept the pre-contractual information.".

How we know it is a package

We check what is in your basket and compare it with the rules for your market. You can also see the result in the "Trip builder", in the "Legal classification of the set" section. The possible answers are:

• Single service — no such screen.
• Package travel candidate — this very screen.
• Combination of services (not a package) — no such screen.
• Requires review — we check more closely.

Frequent questions

Do I have to read it? You have to tick that you read it. We also recommend actually reading it — the information says what you are entitled to if the trip does not happen.

What is protection in the event of the organiser's insolvency? If the company organising the trip goes bankrupt, you have the right to get home and to get your money back. With a package such protection is compulsory.

I do not want a package. Can I buy the services separately? Yes. Go back to the summary, remove one of the services from the basket and book it on its own. The classification will then change.

I get the message "Acceptance not available for this basket.". That means your basket is no longer a package or the session changed. Go back to the summary and start again.

Why do I see general text instead of detailed text? When we do not yet have full content prepared for your market, we show the general version. Your rights are the same — the text just describes them more briefly.
