Password and account recovery

What this is for

Your password is the key to your account. If you lose it, we will send you a link to set a new one.

If you remember your password but want to change it, you do that in "Settings".

Who it is for

For everyone with a password account. If you log in with Google or Apple, you have no password with us.

What you see

Password rules

• At least 12 characters. At most 128.
• We check whether the password has leaked from other websites before. If it has, you will see: "This password has appeared in a known data breach. Choose another password.".
• The check works safely. We send only the first five characters of the password hash to an outside service. The password itself never leaves our server.

A good password is, for example, three ordinary words and a number: green-bicycle-winter-2026.

The "Recover access" page

The title "Recover access", the line "Enter the e-mail address linked to your account." and one field:

E-mail address — example: anna@example.com. Errors: "Enter an e-mail address", "Enter a valid e-mail address".

The "Send link" button. Under it a box with the note: "If an account is linked to this address, you will receive a message with a link to change your password.".

The "Set a new password" page

It opens after you click the link in the e-mail. The title "Set a new password", the line "Choose a long, unique password for your account." and two fields:

New password — at least 12 characters. Errors: "The password must be at least 12 characters", "The password can be at most 128 characters".

Repeat the new password — the same password again. Error: "The passwords must be identical".

The "Save the new password" button and the note: "After saving you will return to login.".

Changing your password in settings

In the panel go to "Settings" → "Account access" → "Change password". Three fields:

Current password — the one you use now. Errors: "Enter your current password" or "The current password is incorrect.". New password — at least 12 characters. Repeat the new password — must be identical. Error: "The passwords must be identical".

Step by step

When you do not remember your password

1. On the login screen click "Forgot your password?".
2. Type your e-mail address.
3. Click "Send link".
4. You will see: "If the account exists, we have sent a link to change your password.".
5. Open your inbox and click the link in the message.
6. Type the new password twice.
7. Click "Save the new password".
8. You will see: "Your password has been changed. Log in with the new password.".

When you do remember your password

1. Log in.
2. Go to "Settings".
3. Click "Change password".
4. Type your current password, then the new one twice.
5. Click "Save the new password".
6. You will see "Password changed".

What happens next

After the change you go back to login and get in with the new password.

The e-mail link works only for a short while and only once. When it goes stale you will see the page "The password change link is invalid or has expired" with a "Send the link again" button.

We always write "If the account exists…", even when we do not know the address. That way no stranger can check whether you have an account with us.

Frequent questions

I did not get the e-mail. Check your spam folder. Check that you did not mistype the address. After a few minutes try again — after too many attempts you will see "Too many attempts. Wait a moment and try again.".

Why was my password rejected even though it is long? Because it has appeared in a public data breach. Choose another one that you do not use anywhere else.

I logged in with Google. Where do I change my password? In your Google account. You have no password with us in that case.

Does changing the password log out other devices? Not automatically. If you want, go to "Settings" → "Active sessions" and click "Log out other devices".

I have 2FA turned on. Will I also enter a code when resetting my password? The password reset works through the e-mail link. You will enter the app code at your next login.
