Price alerts and saved searches

How to set a price-drop notification, how to save your search criteria and how to choose the frequency.

What this is for

Travel prices jump around. You do not have to check them yourself every day.

A price alert watches one offer and writes to you when the price drops to your threshold.

A saved search watches whole criteria — for example "Warsaw → Barcelona, the first week of October, 2 people".

Who it is for

For logged-in customers.

What you see

Everything is on the "Saved offers" page.

The "Price alerts" card

The description: "Get notifications when prices drop to the level you choose.". Next to it you see how many alerts are active, for example "2 active".

Each alert is a row with:

  • The offer name and subtitle.
  • "Notify below PLN 1,400.00" — your price threshold.
  • Whether the threshold applies to the "total" or "/ person".
  • A switch — turns the alert on and off.
  • An "Edit" button — it expands the edit form (described below).
  • A "Delete alert" button, followed by "Confirm" and "Cancel".

Editing an alert

After you click "Edit", a form expands under the row:

Price threshold — the amount in zloty. The hint: "Amount in zloty — we write when the price drops to this level or below.". You can use a comma or a dot (1200 or 1200.50). Errors: "Enter a valid price threshold", "The price threshold must be greater than zero", "The price threshold is too high".

Alert active — a switch. The description: "A switched-off alert stays on the list, but we do not check its price.".

Channels for this alert — two switches: E-mail and Push in the app. The hint: "A channel switched off in your account settings will not work even if you turn it on here.".

At the end "Save alert" (while saving "Saving…") or "Cancel". After saving you see "Price alert updated".

What you cannot change here: the target of the alert, that is the offer or the search criteria. A different target is a different alert — create it from the results page and delete the old one.

We show amounts in your chosen display currency, but you enter and store the threshold in zloty — that is the currency the alert is checked in.

In the mobile app you do the same on the "Price alerts" screen: "Edit" opens a sheet with the threshold and the two channel switches.

When you have no alerts: "You have no price alerts. Set your first one on the search results page.".

The "Saved searches" card

The description: "Your search criteria with a price threshold and a notification frequency.".

Each row has a switch, a "Delete search" button and a frequency:

  • instantly — we write as soon as we see a lower price,
  • once a day — one message per day,
  • once a week — one message per week.

When you have nothing: "You have no saved searches. Set a price alert on the results page.".

Step by step

An alert on one offer

  1. Search for offers, for example flights to Barcelona.
  2. On the results page find the "Set a price alert" button.
  3. Give the alert a name — required. Example: Barcelona in October. Error: "Enter an alert name".
  4. Give a price threshold in zloty. Example: 1400 or 1400.00. You can use a comma or a dot. Errors: "Enter a valid price threshold", "The price threshold must be greater than zero", "The price threshold is too high". You can also leave the threshold empty — then we notify you about any drop.
  5. Save.
  6. The button changes to "Price alert active".

The message after saving: "Price alert created — we will let you know when the price drops".

  1. Set your criteria in the search box and click "Search".
  2. On the results page save the search.
  3. Give a price threshold (optional).
  4. Choose a frequency: instantly, once a day or once a week. Error: "Invalid notification frequency".
  5. Save. The message: "Search saved".

Managing them

  • The switch turns things on and off. The messages: "Alert on", "Alert off", "Search on", "Search off".
  • "Delete alert" asks for confirmation. After it: "Alert deleted".

What happens next

When you get a message

When the price of a watched offer drops to your threshold, we send:

  • an e-mail — if you have "Price alerts by e-mail" turned on in "Settings",
  • a push notification in the app: "The price dropped — A watched offer reached your price threshold.".

For a saved search the message reads: "Cheaper in your search — We found a lower price in your saved search.".

When an offer disappears from the market altogether, you get: "Offer unavailable — The watched offer is no longer available.".

Airsockfly Plus members get priority price alerts.

Frequent questions

What is the difference between an alert and a saved search? An alert watches one specific offer. A saved search watches whole criteria and can find a brand new offer that did not exist before.

I do not get price e-mails. Check in "Settings" that the "Price alerts by e-mail" switch is on. Also check the switch on the alert itself.

I get "Alerts require account configuration (database)". That means this installation has no database connection. Try later.

I get "Too many alerts in a short time". Wait a moment. We protect ourselves against hundreds of alerts being created at once.

I changed the threshold — when will you check the price? At the next check run, not after a full day. Saving a new threshold moves the next check to now.

I turned the e-mail channel off for the alert, but I still want to see the notification. The notification always lands on the list in "Notifications". The channels only decide whether you get an e-mail or a push.

Can the threshold be higher than the current price? Yes, but then the notification arrives straight away. A threshold makes sense when it is lower than the price you see now.
