Japan — how to plan the trip
The classic first trip to Japan is the Tokyo — Kyoto — Osaka triangle. The Shinkansen covers it in two to three hours, so three genuinely different cities fit into ten days without repacking every night.
You see Tokyo by district rather than by checklist: Shibuya and Shinjuku in the evening, Yanaka and Kagurazaka by day, Tsukiji for breakfast. Kyoto works the other way round — visit the temples right after opening, before the coaches arrive.
Japan costs more than South-East Asia but less than most people assume: lunch in an izakaya or a ramen chain is cheaper than in a Polish city. The flight and a central room are the big items.
